Who We Are

ABOUT US

The Minnesota Association of Library Friends (MALF) has been a mainstay in the Minnesota library community since 1979. We are a Saint Paul- based private foundation, but truly statewide in scope and impact.

MALF’s raison d'être is to connect the many and diverse Friends of the Library organizations located in Minnesota – both to one another, and to a wide array of resources supporting their advocacy and fundraising efforts. Our educational programming, grants and awards, and strategic communication are all geared towards this end.

Want to get involved?

  • MALF is a board-driven nonprofit. As such, we are reliant on the time and talents of Friends of the Library like you to keep our network and service portfolio strong. Our Nominating Committee would love to hear from you. Send inquiries (and resume, if available) to info@mnlibraryfriends.org.
  • Our webinar and workshop series routinely garner high participation and national attention. However, MALF’s success is predicated on the spirited partnership of local Friends groups who can co-host this educational programming. Do you have a suitable space, and a desire to have a positive “ripple effect” impact on your region’s libraries and Friends? We want to hear from you! Contact our Programming Committee at info@mnlibraryfriends.org.
